New article on worship

Happy Wednesday (I don’t think that’s a thing, but I needed a good opening line, and that’s all I’ve got cuz, you know, it’s just Wednesday). I’ve recently been invited to start contributing to the Together for the Gospel Worship blog. My first post, on use of “horizontal” language in corporate worship, went up yesterday. If you haven’t seen it yet, feel free to check it out and pass it around. And of course, don’t forget to keep telling your friends about the new album.

DFW show this Sunday!

Hey everyone. As many of you know, I’ll be touring later this fall with my good friend Jimmy Needham. Well, the tour officially starts in October, but this weekend we’re doing a little “pre-tour” show to release his new record. If you’re in the DFW area (or if you just like to drive!) come out and see us. Details here! Of course you’ll get a chance to see Jimmy (he’s a fantastic performer), but I’ll be doing a set as well, featuring some stuff from the new record as well as a few of my older songs. Hope to see you there!

New Lyric Video, etc

I posted a lyric video a couple days ago for “Win My Soul” from the new record. If you have friends who want to hear a sample before buying, or if you just want to share the song in an easy way, you can direct them to it here. In addition, I’ll be posting chord charts for all the songs early next week. Be on the lookout for those.

And of course I appreciate everyone for buying the new album and/or for telling others about it thru Facebook, Twitter, etc. If you’r reading this right now and haven’t bought the record, here’s an iTunes link, or you can buy a CD from me here in the store.

Thanks!
ross

New record, new tour!

Hey everyone. I’ve been pretty terrible at posting updates lately, but I’m making up for it today with two pieces of big news. First, as many of you already know, I’m currently finishing up a new worship album. It’s called This Hope Will Guide Me, and I am very, very excited about how it’s shaping up. This is easily the most excited I’ve ever been about a worship project, and maybe about any album I’ve ever done. I’ll be updating more as the record nears completion, I expect to release the album in late July.

If you want more info, and/or if you want to pre-order the record for a great price, you can check out the Kickstarter campaign I’m doing to promote and co-fund the record.

And in other news, I’ll be touring some this fall with my pal and sometime-co-writer Jimmy Needham. As you probably know, Jimmy recorded my song “Clear the Stage for his record last year, and now he’s asked me to go out on tour with him to promote that record and a new hymns record that he’s releasing in September. If you’d like info on how to book that tour for your church, ministry, or other venue, you can get info here, or contact me directly.

That’s all for now. More updates soon!

Online only for the Christmas record

Hey everyone. It’s a little bittersweet to announce that The Christmas Stories is out of stock. I didn’t realize until a month or so ago that I probably should’ve reordered early this year, and by then it was too late to get them by Christmas. And sales this year have been fantastic (see, that’s good news, right?). Anyway, I have a few left, but I’m saving those to sell at my remaining Christmas concerts over the next couple of weeks. So, if you really want one, come see me this week in Houston (contact me for details) or buy one online thru iTunes, Amazon, etc.

I’ll have more ready for next year. Thanks to everyone for buying.
